Lewis Poe Joins the FDX Board of Directors.

The shift toward Open Banking and Open Finance in North America is no longer a "future" concept. It is happening in real-time. As the U.S. and Canada move from market-led initiatives toward formal regulatory frameworks, the technical standards we choose today will define the financial ecosystem for decades.

That is why we are incredibly proud to announce that our CEO, Lewis Poe, has been voted onto the Financial Data Exchange (FDX) Board of Directors.

Why FDX?
For the uninitiated, FDX is the "gravity center" for financial data standards. It is a non-profit consortium that includes the heaviest hitters in tech and finance. Because FDX already represents the majority of the North American market, it is widely considered the blueprint that regulators in both the U.S. and Canada will adopt.

Sitting on this board means more than just having a seat at the table; it means helping steer the ship on regulation, security standards, and the interoperability of financial data.

Theory vs. Reality: The Caspian One Edge
Many organizations discuss the potential of Open Finance. Lewis and the team at Caspian One have been busy building it. Under Lewis’s leadership, we have deployed one of Canada’s first fully operational FDX-based ecosystems, currently live and serving Canadian credit union members.

Lewis brings a unique "builder’s perspective" to the FDX Board, backed by:

  • Live Deployments: Moving beyond white papers to secure, consent-driven data exchange that works today.

  • Hands-on Governance: Active leadership within the FDX Canadian Task Force and Security Working Group.

  • A Focus on the End User: Ensuring that as we scale, the technology remains grounded in real-world use cases that benefit everyday consumers.

"The FDX Board is the engine room of Open Finance in North America, and I am energized to join such a distinguished group of industry leaders at this critical juncture. As we move toward a formal regulatory era in both the U.S. and Canada, I look forward to working alongside the industry’s top players to shape a future where open data is safe, seamless, and—most importantly—built to serve the evolving needs of every consumer."  Lewis Poe, CEO

What This Means for the Future
With Lewis on the Board, Caspian One continues to be at the forefront of the Open Data movement. We are committed to ensuring that the North American framework is robust, inclusive, and built on the foundation of secure, consumer-permissioned data.

We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone in the FDX community who cast their vote. We’re ready to get to work.
